I am worried about my child and I think that he or she might benefit from support. How do I get started?
The first step is to contact our Client Services Team and verbalize your concerns to our Intake Specialist. Our Intake Specialist will review your inquiry with our team of over 20 experts, ensuring that we are able to recommend the best course of action for your child. Often, we schedule an Intake Interview, which allows us to get to know children and their families and come up with the best recommendations, which could involve assessment, therapy or training. How long does it take to get an appointment with ELG’s services? Do you have waiting lists?
In most cases, you will be able to get an appointment within a few days (up to a week) after contacting us. For urgent matters, we are usually able to see a client within 1-2 days. Though our services are in very high demand, we try our best to avoid waiting lists as much as we can and are always on the look-out to grow our team of experts so we can accommodate everyone’s needs in a timely manner.
Do you take medical insurance?
If you know your medical insurance covers the therapeutic services your child needs, ELG’s services will be covered as well. Often families are unsure whether their medical insurance covers services like the ones ELG provides; we do our best to support you in researching and applying for support.

My child is developing at a typical rate, but is slightly behind in some areas – can you help?
Yes! We can meet the needs of a wide range of children, from those who want to work at advanced, fast levels to those who need intensive support, and everything in between. We provide developmental screenings to gain better insight on which areas of your child’s development are on track, and which ones should be evaluated further. Often, meeting with a specialist for a few sessions to address certain concerns can make a significant difference in daily life for both your child and your family.
Can your specialists provide therapy out of your centers?
Yes! ELG specialists travel to many international school campuses one or more days per week. They provide therapeutic intervention to students on-site in collaboration with teachers, which allows for incorporating therapy right into children’s school days. We also offer home visits.
Do you provide training or consultations?
We consider it part of our responsibility to the community to support professionals working with children, as educational training and consultation resources are very limited in China. We offer a series of workshops catered to educators and other professionals, in addition to tailoring seminars and workshops to meet the needs of individual schools. Our specialists frequently collaborate with parent groups, parent associations or support groups to offer tailored sessions for their participants.
