The Essential Learning Group is a social enterprise. A social enterprise refers to an organization that is profit-making but dedicated to improving the lives of others. Our model allows us to serve expats living in Shanghai and Guangzhou who require support, but it also provides a foundation for helping hundreds of thousands of Chinese families who have a child with unique learning needs, many of whom have limited or no access to services. We do not receive funding or government support, so we are entirely dependent on fees for services to support all our activities, including the ones we offer at no charge

Our Intake Specialist will review your inquiry with our team of over 20 experts, ensuring that we are able to recommend the best course of action for your child. Often, we schedule an Intake Interview, which allows us to get to know children and their families and come up with the best recommendations, which could involve assessment, therapy or training.

We consider it part of our responsibility to the community to support professionals working with children, as educational training and consultation resources are very limited in China. We offer a series of workshops catered to educators and other professionals, in addition to tailoring seminars and workshops to meet the needs of individual schools. Our specialists frequently collaborate with parent groups, parent associations or support groups to offer tailored sessions for their participants.
