Dr. Wang received his degree in Clinical Psychology at Shenzhen University. From there, he went on to East China Normal University where he received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. During his time studying, he did a stint in Washington, D.C. as a visiting scholar to study pediatric sleep medicine. He specializes in Clinical Psychology and Sleep Medicine and has published more than 20 scientific articles in peer-review journals.
Prior to joining the ELG team, Dr. Wang worked at the Shanghai Children’s Medical Center as a research assistant where he investigated the relationship among sleep, socio-cognitive development and mental health in children and adolescents, as well as influencing factors and mechanisms. This supplemented his clinical work, which is to provide sleep and psychological counseling services to children and families facing a wide range of sleep and mental health problems. His studies in the United States have helped him to conduct clinical practice from a multicultural perspective.
His studies, research, and clinical experience in the field of pediatric Sleep Medicine and Clinical Psychology allows him to provide evidence-based and effective services to children and families through ELG’s Clinic Services.
As part of the ELG team, Dr. Wang enjoys the cultural diversity and exchanges offered. He works hard to provide the best services to children and families in a professional way by collaborating with colleagues of multiple backgrounds. He understands how crucial sleep is to mental health and quality of life, and feels fortunate to be able to help children and families with his work.
