Milena earned a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Niš, Serbia in 2006. Prior to joining ELG, Milena worked extensively in child and youth protective services in Serbia, helping children and adolescents with behavior problems, antisocial disorders, and family difficulties. She additionally served as a member of a crisis management team related to domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect cases.
Milena’s experience also includes volunteering her skills in a psychiatric hospital, where she conducted psychological assessments and provided group and occupational therapies. She also has significant expertise and experience in the field of addiction prevention and treatment, both as a certified educator and NGO project manager.
These varied experiences in the field uniquely enable Milena to provide effective counseling and psychotherapy services to children and their families. Milena’s family-oriented approach allows her to develop effective treatment plans that are holistic and take advantage of each child’s unique strengths and family environment.
At ELG, Milena is passionate about working with children and families, and offering support services and educational workshops that improve life circumstances and relationships. She greatly enjoys working in such a diverse multicultural environment.
