Speech-Language Pathologist, Learning Support Specialist.
Vives University Bruges, Belgium
Evelyn holds a Medical Science bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy, which she obtained at Vives University Bruges in Belgium in 2010. She then completed her clinical practice in a multidisciplinary child development clinic, where she gained extensive experience of working with children with learning difficulties (such as dyslexia, dysorthographia, and dyscalculia), language delay, articulation deficits, and disorders in executive functioning.
Prior to moving to Shanghai and joining ELG, Evelyn had her own private practice for over five years where she mainly worked with children between three to twelve years old. Her scope of practice included conducting intakes, undertaking diagnostic assessments, writing treatment plans, and providing individualized therapy. After becoming a mother, Evelyn also gained special interest and skill in the professional treatment of small children with feeding problems, during breastfeeding and the switch to solid food.
At ELG, Evelyn specializes in working with children who need learning support, focusing on dyslexia, dyscalculia, executive functioning, articulation, and language disorders, as well as feeding issues in small children. Evelyn utilizes her broad range of experience to identify and remove barriers to developmental progress and academic achievement. She is passionate about implementing helpful, individualized accommodations for every child, in the home and school setting.
