Clemency earned her B.A. in fine arts from the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury, UK. It was there that she discovered her passion for working with children and young adults. This prompted her to go on to complete her master’s degree in inclusive education at The Open University, Milton Keynes, UK, focusing her research on children’s literacy difficulties. In addition, she also received a Postgraduate Certificate in applied linguistics from The Open University.

Prior to joining ELG, Clemency had gained extensive professional experience as a language teacher and assistant in a variety of educational settings across Asia and England. Through her professional practice, she has worked with children and teenagers of all ages and backgrounds. Clemency’s special areas of expertise include literacy, speech, communication, and language. In her previous capacity at ELG, she worked as a speech pathology assistant.

As a program leader at ELG, Clemency supervises academic and therapy programs, ensuring the needs of all our learners and their families are being well met. She is passionate about ensuring that all the children get the best out of education and life. Clemency particularly enjoys seeing children gain confidence and happiness when their needs are understood and their strengths are nurtured.
