Kathy studied speech and voice therapy at CJD Institute Schlaffhorst-Andersen in Bad Nenndorf, Germany, allowing her to combine her passion for music and language with her interest in therapy and helping others.

Her professional experience includes interdisciplinary practice, working within a pediatric and neurological team comprised of general practitioners (medical doctors), occupational therapists, and physical therapists. As a licensed sound therapist, Kathy provides professional voice coaching to performers and other professionals including educators, teaching them the art of extraordinary expression and providing rehabilitative therapy, through individual and group sessions. She is an expert in breathing techniques, anti-stage-fright training, and vocal therapy. Kathy also works as a certified trainer for a German-as-a-second-language (GSL) program which helps educators integrate the process of learning a language into the daily school routine and classroom setting.

Since arriving in Shanghai, Kathy has worked closely with German and English speaking schools and has supported children being raised in multilingual households. She is passionate about supporting people in the process of developing and discovering their voice and language. Kathy believes that self-awareness is central to the enhancement of communication and a healthy, balanced outlook on life.
