Mooney holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and neuroscience from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. At ELG, Mooney conducts intake assessments and provides individual and group psychotherapy for clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, suicidal ideation, history of violence, and paranoia. As the Assistant Services Director, Mooney supports, develops and grows ELG’s interdisciplinary specialist team, consisting of developmental therapists and psychology/education professionals. She seeks to provide professional consultation for the community, such as local and international schools and other agencies, on how ELG can support and meet their needs. She is also passionate about providing resources for both local and international communities, and strives to serve as a bridge between different cultures.
